| Full color artwork by Kimberly Crick: By purchasing a cd you may use the images on it to create personal and commercial products for sale. Redistribution of the images themselves is prohibited (do not sell what I sell, make a product from it. See my "Angel Policy".) Each cd comes with a limited license certificate and ID # which is not valid for more than one person/company. If your company is large, such as a printing press for products like stationary, calendars, or any other product that you expect to manufacture in numbers over 500 copies please contact me for additional rules. Here are some ideas for things you CAN make/sell using my images: Prints for collage, card making, scrapbooking and other paper crafting. Create art prints, posters, calendars, greeting cards Print and use a transfer medium to apply the design to your crafts, decoupage, collage and other mixed media art. Make jewelry items. Such as by printing out the designs on shrink plastic, or inserting the pictures into lockets/framed jewelry. Use the photographs as a drawing reference, digital or traditional art. (Use like most "Stock Photography".) Incorporate my images into your website design, business cards, logo, menus etc. Digitally crop out backgrounds to create elements for digital art, digital scrap books, tubes/icons/e-stationary, gif animations etc. (Such as erasing out the scenery and just leaving a flower.) A note about image sizes, print quality and home printing tips: When you plan on printing your work, I recommend making your file 300 ppi (pixels per inch) at the size you wish to print. For 12" x 12" scrapbooking start with a file size of 12" x 12" at 300 ppi (3600 x 3600 pixels.) You will need either a large scale home printer or take your digital images to a photo processing center in a store to print this large. If you want to print from your standard home printer, many scrapbooks come in 8" x 8" format. If you know for certain you will be using the 8"x8" format, you could make that your file size at 300 ppi (2400 x 2400 pixels) However, I like to keep my options open and I design all my pages at 12"x12" and shrink them later if I want to print smaller. To print at 8" x 8" you will need to check the "borderless printing" option for your printer. (Usually located in a pop up window for advanced printing options after clicking print in your graphics program.) Otherwise printers usually automatically shrink objects to have a 1" margin space on all sides (which makes it 7.5" x 10" of image space on standard 8.5" x 11"paper.) Photographs from digital cameras tend to be 72 dpi, however they make up for that in a large number of inches. (For example an image could be 24 x 24 inches at 150 ppi, which is equal to 12 x 12 inches at 300 ppi.) If you open my photographic images by themselves and see that it is saying 72 ppi, it is likely around 15" or larger. This means most of the elements (like flowers) are at least a couple inches at 300 ppi print quality. For an example of the average image size I offer, check out my FREE image of the month page! (Click an image from there to open full size view.) Many of my digital art files (painted in Adobe Photoshop) were created at 5" x 7" at 300 to 600 ppi. You may be able to print much larger than 5" x 7", however image quality will decrease at larger sizes (up to 20" tall should be ok before displaying any blurriness or pixelation, depending on your printer quality.) |
