Set of 3 (small, medium and large tip) aqua brushes. These paint brushes were made for kids, with the idea that they avoid mess of water cups or dishes. The clear caps unscrew and you fill it up with water inside the paint brush. Squeeze gently to push the water out into the brush tip. This also makes it super convenient for adults who want to use watercolors or water based inks for quick stamping and painting projects. Can also be filled with alcohol to paint with alcohol inks on acetate and other slick surfaces.

Already have alcohol inks? They work wonderfully inside Copic markers. Just add drops of ink onto the broad tip until it bleeds through to the bottom tip. This takes about 150 drops (it's not much, somewhere about 1/10th of a bottle of Adirondack inks.) These colors blend beautifully together on paper projects. Allows you to turn your favorite inks into markers, or mix your own custom colors. Since you can add ink any time the marker starts to run dry, these markers can literally last forever. No more waste of disposable markers, or disappointment when you find a marker has run dry.

Masks: A mask is the opposite of a stencil. It covers up (masks) an area to protect it from your coloring media. Lay these plastic masks onto your surface, then apply ink around it via spray bottle or sponge, air brush or paint.
Tim Holtz mini mask Floret set measures 3" x 4"
(The largest flower head, upper right in the image below, is approx 1.5" wide.)
$1.99
Thin self adhesive plastic similar to stickers. May be reused, but tackiness will decrease quickly depending on usage on fiberous/fuzzy surfaces.
Glimmer Screens by Tattered Angels: These "stencils" really work as masks, as they block the design area from your coloring media. Use ink with a sponge, spray, use your brayer, or rub over the screens to add extra luster and sparkle to your project. Also try them with chalks or paint. They are made from a translucent plastic that can be washed and used over and over again. These are not sticky, and since there is no adhesive backing you can just lay it on your paper for spraying, or hold it in place while you dab/sponge ink over the design. They are large and work great in scrapbooking layouts and home decor projects.

$1.99
Crown measures approx 2.75" wide

Adirondack Alcohol Inks by Ranger Ink / Tim Holtz. Light colors: Alcohol inks work on almost any surface, but you can achieve the most vibrant results by using them on non-porous surfaces such as a domino game piece or glossy paper. For size reference each bottle is 1" wide and contains 15ml. (0.5 fl. oz.) each and comes in packages of 3 precision tip bottles.

How to use the applicator, felt and alcohol inks: Add a few drops of each color you want to use to the felt pad that is attached to your applicator. I apply single drops of color a little randomly on various areas of the felt (see photo.) Lightly dab your surface repeatedly until you achieve the coverage and pattern desired. If you apply it by patting the surface only a couple times you will get a blended, less marble looking / blotchy effect as you do if you keep patting your surface repeatedly. You can make it very interesting by blowing on it as you work in quick taps for the smallest marble pattern effects. Try out combinations of 2 inks, or even just one and the "alcohol blending solution" (works as clear alcohol ink) for a variety of marbled monotone effects. Note: Felt by nature has a lot of loose fibers that often fall out. I have not found a way to avoid this, but you can rub off a lot of the little fibers once the ink dries in a few seconds.

Use multiple color combinations to compliment your rubber stamped artwork. (I used Stampbord as my surface, and the image is from Spri-106)

Metallic peel off stickers for your papercrafting, mixed media jewelry and domino art. Each sheet measures approx. 4" x 9" $1.99
Stickers look great over dark colors of alcohol ink on a domino.

Ideas: Use over baked polymer clay as a surface color, or mix into raw polymer clay to tint it before baking. Color over gold leaf or metallic paints. Check out the All About Alcohol Inks page with color charts, tutorials and project ideas.

Be sure to check out the miniatures and floral section for Flower Soft that can be used to accent the centers of your paper flowers.

* Due to the fragile nature of chalks, some sticks could break during mailing, which does not reduce usefulness. Typically these are used by breaking into smaller pieces anyway, by using a brush or sponge applicator to rub on color, or scraping off powder with a blade or needle.

These chalks are great for coloring on paper, over rubber stamped images using versamark/clear ink, domino jewelry (domino tutorial here) and also work great on polymer clay (check out the miniature food tutorials.)

Clear alcohol ink "blending solution" can be used with any color combo to lighten the colors, or use with any one color to create monotone polished stone effects:

Lettuce (from the Farmer's Market kit) applied with Clear Blender
Gelly Roll Gel Pens: If you're looking for a more delicate shimmer than glitter, these Stardust Gelly Roll pens create beautiful effects. A roller ball pen that does not smear, feather or bleed-through on most papers. The glittery "dust" is an inert, cosmetic grade, finely ground glass. Medium point writes a 0.5mm line and is non-toxic.Great for accenting rubber stamped images. Also available in plain, non glittery, white for outlining and snow effects.

Water Based Artist Markers: Package of 24 colors with fine line hard felt tips. An inexpensive set that is great for coloring your domino game pieces.

I used the white gel pen to outline this rubber stamp art, and the gold stardust pen to fill in the spiral snake. The elegant glimmer does not dominate the image, but catches your eye as the light dances off the glittering stardust.

The difference between silver and clear stardust is in the ink. Silver Stardust contains silver colored ink and silver glitter. The Clear Stardust pen contains clear ink and silver glitter.

These markers can be used to color over your StazOn rubber stamped domino without making the ink bleed. Use Krylon's clear gloss spray to seal. Check out the domino tutorial page for more instructions.
Any water based marker will show up lighter in color on a domino (or any non-porous surface) than when it is applied to paper. Shading is easy on a domino, you can also blend colors with your finger before they dry. (Like the dot of pink i put on her cheek then touched to blend.)
Also great for use with the aqua brushes on paper like watercolor paint. (As shown on the coloring techniques page.)

Comparison of Jet Black and Timber Brown. Jet Black StazOn provides bold stamping lines to show off your line art. Timber Brown StazOn adds a more natural, soft and vintage feel to your domino stamping.

Set of three red sable paint brushes - round #0,00,000. Suitable for applying oils, watercolors, acrylics, and fine powder application to small areas.
