About the file formats:
.SVG
cut files for SCAL

.BMP art files are readable on all computers for printing or importing to your favorite graphics editing program. This is a
common graphics format like .jpg, but higher quality.

.GSD files can be opened in the QuicKutz Silhouette software and are ready to cut at any size you select.
If you own an electronic die cutting machine that is capable of cutting designs you supply from your computer, these cds are
for you!
These images may also be purchased for use in your digital scrapbooking, card making, collage and more!
Once you buy the
cd you are allowed to use these images in all your crafts, even for items you are selling. Check out my
angel policy for more

For use with your Cricut: (*Cricut Personal, Cricut Expression or Cricut Create Machines TM)  Cut without cartridges!!! You will
need a program called "
Sure Cuts A Lot" in order to use these art files. Each vector .svg image is scalable, meaning you can
cut the shape to any size you want! (Within the size capability of your Cricut model such as 5.5" wide and 11.5" tall with the Cricut
and Cricut Create or up to 11.5" wide x 23.5" tall with a Cricut Expression machine.)
You can import .svg files into the Sure Cuts A Lot program and design your own cricut cutting page. If you'd like to also make your
own .svg designs try
Inkscape, a free vector drawing program. Visit the Sure Cuts A Lot website for more info, tutorials, example
art and any technical support you may need.
Project ideas using your electronic die cutter:

Replace your paper punches and make your own paper lace embellishments for scrapbooking and card making.

Quickly cut templates including boxes, unique shaped cards and art doll parts.

Make your own decorative edge scrapbook paper that looks so professional!

Do you also own a Cuttlebug die cutting and embossing machine? You can program your Cricut to cut thick cardstock or chipboard
to make your own embossing folders!

Tips and tricks:

You're not limited to paper!
While the Cricut and most other die cutting machines were created for paper cutting use, they can also
cut vinyl, thin stencil material, sticker paper, shrink plastic and much more.

While you can technically cut any image from 1/4" to 23.5" tall depending on your die cutting machine capabilities,
some images
have fine lines that will only work with larger cuts
. Use your best judgment and experiment with scrap paper to determine which
size your cuts look best at.

Using these or your own art files with the Cricut die cutting machine?
It should be noted that Sure Cuts a Lot is not affiliated with Cricut/ProvoCraft and it is against their warranty policy to use 3rd party
software. However, this software is installed on your computer, not onto the Cricut, so it's unlikely they could tell if you used it. This
is the only way to use your Cricut to cut images without cartridges at this time. You do however need one cartridge (a free one
usually comes with the machine) as the Cricut does not work without a cartridge placed in it.

Working with die cutting machines other than the Cricut, such as QuicKutz Silhouette, Wishblade, CraftRobo, Pazzles or
Gazelle?
Many of these machines come with software that allows you to convert any .jpg or .bmp image (like most images are shown on the
internet) and convert them into cut files. More information about how to create your own artwork to cut on your machine should be
available on the manufacturer's websites.

If you are computer savvy and have access to Adobe® Illustrator® software versions 8 through CS3 you may be able to create your
own artwork or import my artwork files to change them to an .ai or .pdf file format to cut on these machines. As described on the
Silhouette website, you can create your own artwork in their provided program on PC, or use Adobe Illustrator to cut on a Mac
computer. For PC users, Silhouette sofware has an "auto trace" feature that allows you to open a .bmp image to create a cut
outline. When you insert that cut image on your cutting mat screen and save it becomes a .GSD format. This may be the same
process for all Graphtec machines (As far as I know the Silhouette, Wishblade and Craft Robo are the same base machine
packaged with different software and accessories.)

The company that produces the Pazzles die cutting machine also makes the Cricut. The Pazzles is a little more heavy duty and
comes with computer software to design your own images. This software is
not simple, so if you are still deciding on which
machine to get I would recommend Pazzles
if you are already experienced with computer vector programs like illustrator. The Cricut
machine is much more quick and user friendly, especially for people with limited computer knowledge.
